This position provides financial analysis and reporting on Prism Health North Texas’ (PHNTX’s) clinical practice and revenue cycle activities.


Specific Responsibilities:
• Manages Empowerment program activities.
• Provides effective supervision to program personnel related to work assignments, productivity, quality of
service delivery, maintaining ethical work standards, etc. to ensure effective operations.
• Ensures that the program operates in accordance with quality standards established by the grantor and the
agency for implementation of community-level evidence-based interventions.
• Develops and implements Empowerment Connection programs in collaboration with the Core Group
• Conducts direct staff observation for quality control and to determine training needs. monitor and evaluate
how team members are functioning in terms of job performance and reaching program objectives.
• Provides and/or facilitates staff training as appropriate.
• Participate in community events and meetings to recruit clients, identify resources, and build partnerships.
• Develops, identifies, and negotiates appropriate agreements with various organizations to collaborate on
events and activities related to Empowerment for clients living with, affected by, or at risk of acquiring
• Perform outreach duties as needed, including visiting partner organizations, canvassing communities,
mailers, social media, etc.
• Develop and implement digital media activities to increase HIV awareness, reduce new HIV infections, and
improve health outcomes for priority populations
• Develop methods for addressing social determinates of health through program activities, events, and
collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Promotes the Empowerment Connection and builds positive relationships with stakeholders and community
members by taking an active part in community networking and presentations with corporations,
educational institutions, other agencies, and groups.
• Proactively identify and address barriers to program success in collaboration with leadership, including the
implementation of evidence-based behavioral and public health interventions to ensure client/patient
adherence to program/service requirements.
• Coordinates planning closely with other agency teams to ensure effective and seamless service delivery,
prevent duplication of efforts and present a coordinated process to the community and clients.
• Prepare monthly reports as required and requested on contract compliance activities and program outcomes.
• Represent Program at professional events, building relationships with community partners to expand
awareness of the prevention programs.
• Serves on assigned internal/external committees.
• Step-in to provide direct services as needed.
• Manages assigned programmatic areas in the absence of director.
• Performs other duties as assigned by program director.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Working knowledge of hepatitis, tuberculosis, STIs and HIV/AIDS.
• Ability to supervise effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of HIV risk factors and HIV behavior change strategies
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention and intervention resources as they relate to specific priority populations
including MSM, transgender persons, and communities of color
• Cultural awareness and humility and demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations including
the LGBT community.
• Knowledge of community resources and ability to network.
• Ability to coordinate programming and facilitate groups.
• Skilled in outreach and assessment techniques.
• Computer skills and proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Word software applications including Excel.
• Ability to plan, organize, set objectives, and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Dependable transportation and current Texas Driver’s License and active auto liability insurance.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related social service field and supervisor experience. Relevant work experience may be
considered in lieu of educational requirements.
• Specialized training required to implement intervention funded by DSHS must be completed within six months
of hire.
