General Description:

Reporting to the Marketing Content Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the marketing team, departments, and services program managers to develop and execute engaging content across various platforms and channels. Responsibilities include managing social media channels, crafting compelling written and visual content, overseeing the organization’s digital presence, analyzing digital metrics to enhance performance, and actively contributing to the development of marketing strategies. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work on other marketing projects as needed.

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop and implement marketing and digital content strategies that align with the organization’s marketing objectives.

  • Coordinate with various service programs, departments, and fundraising event teams to conceptualize content and calendar.

  • Create and implement compelling written and visual promotional and educational content for websites, blogs, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other digital channels.

  • Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring trends.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including the development of content calendars and the creation of promotional materials.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of digital advertisements and campaigns on multiple online advertising platforms.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and provide reports on the performance of digital content using analytics tools.

  • Assist in the regular updates and maintenance of the organization’s websites.

  • Stay informed about advertising, content, and social media trends and technologies.

  • Provide support for any additional marketing activities and projects as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience with social media marketing.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools, content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, website management (WordPress), and analytics platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and error-free content.
  • Understanding of SEO principles, content optimization, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking and proactive self-starter.
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (marketing, advertising, communications, or business preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, writing, communications and/or similar.
