General Description:
The Clinic Manager is responsible for clinic operations such as but not limited to, patient relations, supervision of nurses, medical assistants and other non-licensed clinic staff, supply management, medication and vaccine management, and program oversight such as but not limited to Adult Safety Net, Texas Vaccines for Children, Trust Her, or others. The clinic manager will complete quality audits, maintain staff training records, oversee annual skills competencies. Additionally, they serve as a clinical leader and management representative in the clinic during day-to-day operations for staff, providers and patients.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities of The Job:
Leadership and Staff Management:
· Lead, manage and hold accountable all staff assigned to the clinic.
· Supervise staff performance, conduct evaluations, and assist in setting goals for direct reports.
· Oversee onboarding, training, and competency evaluations for all direct reports
· Conduct annual competency evaluations for non LIP provider clinic staff.
· Foster a positive team environment with clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
Clinical Operations Management and Oversight:
· Demonstrate compassion, respect, and caring while working within the nursing scope of practice to provide individualized, safe, and efficient care to patients and assistance to their families and visitors. Proactively implements measures to promote a safety climate in the clinic, considering the interrelationship of people, tools, and environment in which care is provided.
· Provide operations oversight for their assigned clinic.
· Coordinate the procurement of medical and office supplies and equipment with the appropriate staff to ensure the availability of equipment and supplies required to provide patient care services.
· Standardize supplies and medications for all clinics and maintain inventory management on a daily and weekly basis. Conduct monthly inventory counts.
· Provide supplementary care to patients as needed within the scope of their licensure.
Compliance Support and Quality Improvement:
· Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations to plan, recommend, and implement improvements to clinical services.
· Oversee and perform regular audits of clinical inventory and medication storage to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements and policy changes.
· Ensure compliance with clinical and organizational goals, conducting regular chart and inventory audits.
· Oversee incident reporting and assist in resolving patient concerns or complaints.
· Engage in continuing education to enhance professional competence and meet regulatory requirements.
Administrative and Other Duties:
· Support the Director of Clinical Operations in administrative tasks, including annual budgets and ensuring program and clinic policies and procedures are followed.
· Provide administrative support for clinic operations, ensuring efficient coordination of medication administration and patient safety.
· Receive after hours alerts, calls, and messages from temperature monitoring software and security systems. Respond with emergency management processes when needed.

Skills & Qualifications
· Strong supervisor skills with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage medication inventory to meet regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
· Attention to detail with strict adherence to protocols and compliance standards, ensuring accuracy in all tasks, from medication handling to inventory audits.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with health professionals, patients, and their families.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills, Education and Experience:
· Management experience in an outpatient healthcare setting preferred
· Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
· Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
· Minimum three years of applicable nursing experience.
· Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
· Experience with the Texas Adult Safety Net or Texas Vaccines for Children programs, supply, and medication management preferred.
Required Licensure:
· Current Texas nursing license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
· Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, maintained throughout employment.
Additional Requirements:
· Must participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
· Must be able to fulfill other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
· Must have dependable transportation, with a current Texas Driver's License and active auto liability insurance.
