In collaboration with the Program Director, this position is responsible for managing program operations. In collaboration with the Program Director, this position is responsible for managing program operations. The program manager will function as a liaison to coordinate care and manage relationships with partner substance abuse treatment facilities. S/he is responsible for initiating, planning and coordinating activities to ensure continuous and greater access to substance use disorders (SUD) /co-occurring disorders (COD) treatment. S/he will also develop/implement a community outreach strategy to engage the population of focus.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities of the Job:
- Manages and coordinates project implementation, data collection and documentation activities,
- Develops and implements outreach strategies to engage the population of focus.
- Maintains relationships with substance abuse treatment facilities/partners.
- Completes and submits timely, accurate and complete reports required by grantor or agency.
- Maintains communication with consumer advisory board (CAB) members and schedules and facilitates regular meetings.
- Works directly with clients as needed for peer recovery/support in conjunction with the Peer Recovery Specialist.
- Meet with clients to complete the SAMHSA Outcomes Measurement tool (SPARS CSAT GPRA).
- Coordinates activities of staff assigned to the STEP program.
- Coordinates social media posts with digital media program director.
- Manages program materials, equipment, client incentives - purchase, use, documentation and inventory control.
- Coordinates bi-annual STEP client recovery celebration events.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Demonstrated experience with managing grants.
- Demonstrated experience with program development and implementation.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and databases.
- Ability to work in a positive and empathetic manner with persons who have HIV/AIDS.
- Working knowledge of medical/psychosocial resources and the medical and psychosocial complexities of HIV/AIDS.
- Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with medical, SUD treatment and other providers.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers, clients and partners.
- Dependable transportation and current Texas Driver's License and active auto liability insurance.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Significant experience relevant to the job requirements may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
- Experience working with SUD/COD clients, people living with HIV, and diverse community groups.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
